Dear Church,

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health just as your soul prospers. For I rejoice greatly when brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in the truth.” 3 John 2-4

December marks the end of another year as we celebrate the remembrance of Christ’s birth and look forward to 2010. To round up 2009, the text above is the prayer for all of us.

The prophetic events of the end times unfold before us each time we open the newspaper. Even the non-Christian world senses that we are on the verge of something unheard of. Fear and uncertainty grip many hearts. However, for the Christian, the opposite should be the case.

You are not without knowledge, especially all of us in River of Life Sanctuary. God is merciful and kind to let us know what is going on so that you will not be troubled. You can prepare to face the events trusting God. Many other churches have this blessing too. I love to hear from them and see what God is saying to them, adding to the Word of the Lord to us in order to complete the picture.

Seeing that we live in eventful times, the prayer above is all the more meaningful. First priority let our soul prosper. That means our soul area (the emotions, the mind and the will) must be in good spiritual health. Let the love of God heal our hearts of all hurts, anger and unforgiveness. Let our minds be filled with godly thoughts and love, not suspicious and unloving to others or to ourselves. Have a strong Spirit-led will that makes wise decisions and godly choices.

Then it follows that we will prosper in ALL things, including our health. Learn to lean on God and not earthly goods. Have contentment and invest in eternity, not temporal things.

Just to remind you how close we are to the Rapture, I received an e-mail to say that the One World Government has been formed and it will be announced most probably by the end of December.

All nations are encouraged to cede power to this Antichrist government. In future there will be no choice, of course. A few years back, the One World religion was launched with little fanfare, taking up a small insignificant column in the newspapers. While Christians sleep, the Antichrist is busy building his kingdom.

Here are some practical advice I want to offer you, dear church.

1. Make sure of your salvation

2. Live your life with the right priorities

3. Get your family on the right track so that they are prepared.

4. Prosper in your finances to be used for the work of God, not for selfish reasons

5. Hold worldly prosperity lightly so that you will not be affected if the monetary system collapses.

6. Trust God to provide. He fed 5000 with just five loaves and two fishes.

7. Make preparation as much as you can to live off the land if necessary. Then trust God for the rest.

8. Walk in the truth. There will be so many false teachers so don’t be drawn away.

9. Some marks of false teachers :- focus on money, focus on personality, pride, does not preach repentance but only grace, immoral lifestyles, takes away the deity, humanity of Christ, equating Him to other religious teachers, reject the cross….

As our Text says, WALK IN THE TRUTH. 

a. Join a Care Group so that you have a family group to help one another. Offer to start one if there is no care Group in your area. Be a participant in this local house of God.

b. Know your Bible. Get a good study Bible and begin to know what you believe. You will know God’s will in your life when you know what is in His Word.
Your word I have hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You. Psalm 119: 11

c. Join in all the training, the family activities that are prepared for you in this church. This will help you grow. Be discipled in our T-net program.

d. Come join the Prayer Meetings. Don’t come as a spectator but to participate earnestly and urgently. God asks us to pray and He has good reasons. It is not for Him, it is for US. Prayer meetings are only boring to those who do not take part. Come to pray and to HEAR from God. That is the exciting part. Learn to hear, more than to talk. Then speak out what God says so that all can be blessed and move in the right direction of prayer. Come and catch that anointing. Those who can hear but will not, will have to answer to God for hiding their gift in the sand.

Christmas is God breaking into the history of Man wonderfully. As we celebrate this, remember, He is going to break into the History of the world again … this time as its JUDGE.

Let us win as many as we can for the Kingdom of God. Pray for souls this Christmas.
