Pastor's Pen - November 2008
Dear Church,
We praise God for a wonderful seminar. Dr. John Tetsola ministered to everyone in his teaching and and messages and the workshops were also anointed. So many of the participants came to say how blessed they were and CD orders have been coming in. I told you that you would be blessed, right?!
God Answers Prayers
For some years now, I felt that the Church at large should benefit from his ministry. There is a difference between good teaching, anointed teaching and apostolic teaching! And Dr Tetsola?s teaching is apostolic. This year, I felt that God will launch him out to S.E.A and little RLS will not be able to keep him to ourselves (not that we want to)! For years I have been telling churches that they need to hear him and it is only in this seminar that at last the response went beyond more than a few churches and our own members. There was such opposition from the enemy. Three weeks before the seminar there were only 20+ registrants, the worse we had ever experienced! So we got the intercessors to pray and break down the enemy blocks because we were informed that some people were going around telling others not to come and slandering Dr Tetsola. God answered our prayer. You should see the hustle and bustle when suddenly the registrations poured in! The seminar so far, saw the widest number of churches and Para-organizations represented. They will be able to carry the message back to their sphere of influence.
We have only one desire ? to hear the voice of God for our region and the churches, at the right time, at the right place, the right message and the right strategies for the end times?and we felt Dr Tetsola had the message. This is the beginning only, praise God!
Doing our part in God's prophesies
Doug Duncan prophesied over our church in 2004 that one work we will do is to be divine connectors for people with various callings, thus opening the door for them to launch into the work God has called them. This is what we have been doing in small and unnoticed ways including introducing Dr. John Tetsola to the Christian community. Praise God for being able to serve Him in big and small ways. In the past this prophesy has been wrongly interpreted by some and it attracted those with secret agendas and ambitions! Thank God we have learnt (painfully, at times) to be wiser. Today, we praise God for the wonderful saints of God who serve Him with all sincerity and whom God has called to be connected with the vision of this house. We encourage you to take the initiative to fill the gaps in RLS.
Not missing our destiny through disconnection
One message in the seminar spoke of those who missed their destiny when they got disconnected with the man called of God and his vision. Ahithophel, King David?s advisor was an example. He not only missed his destiny but ended up committing suicide. Another was Barnabas and Paul. After disassociating from Paul in a dispute, we do not hear of Barnabas again in the book of Acts. Did he miss a greater destiny meant for him? It is important to know our calling but it is more important to abide in God?s timing. King David remained faithful in heart even to an unstable and murderously jealous King Saul. In due time, he inherited King Saul?s throne and reaped God?s blessing and approval. It is good to review not only our calling but our placing in the plan of God. Once our place is confirmed, let us do our part faithfully in the place He has put us. Do not move out till God tells us the next step to take.
Fulfilling your destiny
Last month, I spoke to you not to despise the day of small beginnings. (Do not underestimate the power of ONE). This month, I want you to learn the power of A PROMISE from God. Call it a prophetic word or a Rhema word. Just ONE promise from God is worth a thousand from man. Many have not seen their promise come to past. Here is a check list to find out why and how??.
1. Make sure it IS from God. That means it has been confirmed in different ways. It is not something from our own mind or wishful thinking.
2. Make sure you receive it in faith, not doubting or despising what He has promised you. The more appreciative we are the more God loves to give. James 1:6
3. Make sure you work towards the direction, He has pointed you to. Prepare and occupy till it comes to pass. Do not be idle in the Lord's vineyard.
4. Make sure that you do not speak contrary to His Word. That will nullify what is promised you. Speak his Word instead. Prov. 10:20
5. Make sure that Word is kept in your heart, no matter what the circumstances may appear to be like. Remember, we were reminded to look at the Truth and not the Facts! The truth is what God says. The
fact is the existing situation and facts do not nullify God's Truths!
6. Make sure you always have a grateful and thankful heart, not a complaining and grumbling one.
7. Make sure you live righteously and you are obedient to all Hiscommands.
Principles of God bring Wealth and Fulfillment
Why are some countries rich and some countries poor? Why are some people rich and some poor?
By rich, I do not mean money only. I refer to having no want, enough food and shelter with the peace of God and contentment. Being poor is living from hand to mouth, having no peace in the home and always in need in the body, soul or spirit. Prov.10:22 ?The blessing of the Lord makes one rich and He adds no sorrow with it.?
The answer for the individual is the same as the answer for a country. Greed, corruption and injustice make a country poor and the people in such countries suffer much. There is more than enough in any land but the exploitation of the people and resources by corrupted leaders have wrecked the land. The individual who do not live by God?s principles suffer the same fate. They live on borrowed time when they disobey God?s principles. One day, they will reap what they have sown?.in sickness, in poverty, in paying for their crimes, in loss of relationships and eventually in the loss of their soul. Gal. 6:7
I have good news for you.
If you never had a biblical heritage, it is not too late to begin for yourself and for the generations after you. Begin to sow and to harvest what God has in store for you. Change your ways and thinking. Be humble and start aright.
Only pride keeps you in the state of spiritual and perhaps material poverty. Just change to God?s principles. It works all the time.
If you have lost what you had by back-sliding or disobedience, there is also good news for you. Just repent from the heart, tell God to help you return to Him. Then as you reverse your wrong ways, the blessings of God will flow again and, once again it needs humility to say, ?I am wrong. I will repent and change my ways?. If you do that and mean it, then God will joyfully take you into His arms and teach you His ways. Be patient. If it takes you twenty years to wreck your life, it will take time to restore it.
What about a church?
The same applies. It is made up of individuals. If enough individuals determine to follow God?s ways and be obedient to Him, a revival will surely come in due time. You make a difference. Remember, the power of ONE! Revival begins with you.
May the Lord bless RLS with a critical mass of passionate, committed, focused praying Christians to turn the world ?right side up?!!
We are greatly blessed and highly favored of the Lord! Amen.
We love you !
